Cat vs Mouse

Cat vs Mouse is a pretty unique game in the strategy genre. This is because in Cat vs Mouse you play as your cursor. Yes, your actual cursor/mouse (or finger if you're playing on mobile I guess) that needs to avoid the cat that spawns in every wave. You must collect the coins that can randomly appear on the map and that's the basics of it.

How To Play

1. Upon loading into the game you are greeted to a main menu screen, click the green play button at the bottom. If you have a save you want to load first, click the blue download icon looking button, paste you save code and exit to go back to the main menu.
2. You will be prompted to choose your map and gamemode pick one and the game will start! You should play the tutorial first however so you can understand the mechanics of this wildly unique and probably annoying game!
3. MAIN GAMEPLAY STARTS HERE, if you're on mobile, you can use the pull up menu from the bottom, it's pretty inconvenient since the game wasn't meant for mobile. If you're on PC however, you can use the number keys that are assigned to different towers. They cost money and to get money you must hover around the map with your cursor to collect coins.

Here are some important gameplay notes:

• Kittens cannot be targeted by towers and so you must use area of effect type towers or use something like the Utilities Factory.
• It is recommended to play on PC since although the game supports mobile it's not very good lol.. Like it's actually bad haha...
• To replay the game with your new save data, click the green flag that should be on the top left corner of the project. This will restart the game's state and you can input your save through a button on the main menu that looks like a download icon or an arrow pointing downwards

Cool stuffz you can do or that can happen!!

• A winter event/gamemode can appear in the selection on December till January each year
• There's a unique way of data saving for this game, MAKE SURE YOU COPY YOUR SAVE CODE!! Beating the game on different modes awards different towers and you can buy cosmetics and other stuff in the shop!
• If you ever wanna mess around, you should be able to press the space key for a lot of cash! This is dev exclusive but since you're downloading it from Itch here, take it as a gift :D

EXTRA INFORMATION!!

• I would not like to earn off of this game considering how uhh not great it is and specifically because it uses music from other ppl. I would really love to make a game in which I can make my own music so hopefully I can do that soon
• This is the complete game. No updates no nothing. It was a project I've worked on ever since I started Scratch. I just improved it along the way until eventually I surpassed it's former code and it became really hard and time consuming to change stuff.
